Edmondo Albertella

Famiglia Edmondo Albertella “Pinsart” was born in Cannobio, a small village in Verbano on Lake Maggiore, in 1934 of a modest working family but of high standards.

He discovered his talent for music and drawing when he was a boy at primary school and from 1945 to 1948 attended the School of Arts and Trades in Cannobio.

He continue his studies, which he did , unde the care of Mario Albertella who had an art studio in Milan, and hence, at the only 14 years of age he left for the big city with a suitcase full of hopes.

He was gifted with an original and lively talent for art , he had a sharp , although fare tongue and he was an amiable and courteous gentleman.

His artistic vein was his interior refuge , where his soul cohabited with his genius and were both projected towards a search of ethical and human values , in strict complicity – at times joyous , at times , bitter, however , relentlessly honest and rigorous.

In 1991 he opened his own permanent display in his Art Studio in via Marconi.

In the year 2000 Edmondo Albertella decided to adopt a nome de plume , so , in memory of his paternal Grandfather , who was a tailor, he signed his works E. Albertella "Pinsart".

He worked uninterrupledly , doing portraits , restorations and making true copies of the great masters like Monet , Cezanne , Corot .Gauguin , Matisse , Tiepolo , Charden and others.

"There are two reason for my life . Art and my granddaughter Letizia".

In 2004 E. Albertella he discovered he had cancer, in 2005 his second granddaughter Serena was born , he wished to paint her portrait , but his llness overtook him and he died 29 th October 2006 leaving infinite works all over the world and many memories.
